The Hwarang movement was a Korean warrior corps that adhered to strict philosophical and moral codes. Most of the great military leaders of the Silla Dynasty had been Hwarang. Korean history records the Hwarang Warriors (Korean Silla Knighthood), as a group of aristocratic young men who gathered to study, play and learn the arts of war.
Mr. Gavin Salter was introduced to martial arts in the late 1970’s. As a child he was involved in Judo, and Karate as a teenager. Finding both these forms of martial arts rigid and not attuned to Australian way of life, he began training in National Tae Kwon Do In 1988. Mr Salter progressed through the ranks quickly training in Canberra and on the Gold Coast reaching black belt in 1990. He began Instructing Classes in 1991.
Pacific International Taekwondo co-founders Grandmaster Trevor Dicks and Master Instructor Margaret Dicks began Taekwondo training in 1972 with the UKTA, under the guidance of Grandmaster Rhee Ki Ha.

All Rhee TaeKwon-Do Instructors are professionals and officially appointed by World Master Chong Chul Rhee. All classes are held in a fun, positive and controlled environment.
